BIRMINGHAM, AL — The rain in Birmingham will finally subside this weekend, so getting out and about in the city should be a top priority for those who have been cooped up in the house all week to stay out of the storms. Fortunately there, is plenty to do in the Magic City this weekend, whether it is sports, music or family entertainment.

Friday, Feb. 21

Sturgill Simpson with Tyler Childers; BJCC Legacy Arena, Birmingham, 7:30 p.m.: Tickets are scarce for this live performance by one of the country's hottest artists.

Ruston Kelly; WorkPlay, Birmingham, 8 p.m.: Catch singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly live, as the award-winning artist plays WorkPlay on his U.S. tour.

Birmingham RV Supershow; BJCC Exhibition Hall, Birmingham, 12-8 p.m.: Come see more than 100,000 square feet of pull-behinds, fifth wheelers, toy haulers, class a and class c motor homes and more. The event lasts all weekend.

Saturday, Feb. 22

Guitar: The Instrument that Rocked the World; McWane Center, Birmingham, 10 a.m.: Experience the science of sound and the cultural impact of the guitar by exploring more than 70 instruments and 100 historical artifacts-ranging from the rare and antique to the wildly popular.

UAB Women's Basketball vs Rice; Bartow Arena, Birmingham, 2 p.m.: Watch the UAB Blazers take on Conference USA foe Rice at Bartow Arena.

Wilder v. Fury II; Iron City, Birmingham, 7 p.m.: Watch the pay-per-view broadcast of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder's rematch with Tyson Fury on Iron City's large screen.

Sunday, Feb. 23

The BHM Chili Challenge; Cahaba Brewing Co., Birmingham, 1 p.m.: Join BHM FEMME at Cahaba Brewing Co. for a chili cookoff from 1-3 p.m.

Birmingham Ballet: The Sleeping Beauty; Samford University Wright Center, Homewood, 2 p.m.: Enjoy Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beuty, first performed more than 100 years ago, and brought to life by the Birmingham Ballet.

UAB Blazers Baseball; Regions Field, Birmingham, 1 p.m.: UAB takes on UNC-Asheville at Regions Field.
