BIRMINGHAM, AL — Valentine's Day is Friday, and while many people may have specific plans for the holiday, those who are not celebrating have plenty of options for Friday. As well, several events are scheduled throughout the weekend in and around Birmingham.

Here are a few of the events happening in the Birmingham metro this weekend:

Friday, Feb. 14

Drew and Ellie Holcombe; Work Play Theatre, Birmingham, 8 p.m.: Check out The You and Me Tour: An Evening with Drew & Ellie Holcomb. Drew and Ellie Holcomb are a husband and wife Americana duo from Nashville who have gained a huge following throughout the country.

Romantically Challenged Dating Game Show; Saturn, Birmingham, 8 p.m.: Saturn will host the 7th edition of Birmingham's most enchanting and rambunctious dating game show. Contestants will answer a variety of questions and perform a host of silly challenges to win the hearts of 3 featured Bachelors and 3 Bachelorettes.

Eat Drink Ride Food Tour; Brookwood Village, Mountain Brook, 6 p.m.: Passengers will board a Party Bus and sample small plate bites from 5 restaurants in metro Birmingham during a 4 hour food tour.

Saturday, Feb. 15

Whiskey & Wings Bar Crawl; Lakeview, Birmingham, 4 p.m.: Find great wing and whiskey pairings, whiskey and bourbon specials and more in Birmingham's Lakeview District.

Birmingham Home Show; BJCC Legacy Arena, Birmingham, 11 a.m.: The Birmingham Home Show is a vibrant marketplace where you can shop for home-related products and services, experience stunning displays to help inspire your next home project, connect with industry experts, and enjoy informative presentations from renowned local and international home professionals.

Australia Love & Support Weekend at the Zoo; Birmingham Zoo, Birmingham, All Day: The Birmingham Zoo is inviting the community to join us in helping with the aftermath of the Australian bushfire crisis by visiting the Zoo on Valentine’s weekend, February 14-16, 2020. Birmingham Zoo will match up to $5,000 from paid admissions on that weekend with the goal of donating a total gift of $20,000 to support the wildlife of Australia.

Sunday, Feb. 16

UAB Blazers Baseball vs. Notre Dame; Young Memorial Stadium, UAB, 12 p.m.: The UAB baseball team takes on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as the Blazers kick off the 2020 baseball season.

Drop-In Drawing; Birmingham Museum of Art, 2 p.m.: Spend time sketching in the galleries during this guided drawing class. You provide the creativity, the museum provides the supplies. Free, no registration necessary.

Twin Peaks Night; Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema, Birmingham, 7 p.m.: Every Sunday night starting Feb. 16 Sidewalk will host Twin Peaks Night, showing David Lynch's original television series from the pilot episode to the finale.
