Which Netflix Show Is The Most Popular In Alabama?

BIRMINGHAM, AL - There was a time not long ago that viewers looked to network television to watch a tv series, and streaming services like Netflix for movies. That line has now been blurred in recent years as the streaming giant has offered more options for tv series in addition to movies. As well, Netflix has become more prominent in households across the country - with 58 million subscribers in the U.S. So, what are subscribers watching on Netflix? A recent study looked at the series most watched in each state.

In Alabama, "Riverdale" is the most-watched series on Netflix, replacing "Gilmore Girls" - Alabama's most-watched show on Netflix in the 2017 study. "Riverdale" is an American teen drama series based on the characters of the classic Archie Comics. The series was adapted for The CW by Archie Comics' chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and is produced by Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios.

The study, conducted by High Speed Internet, showed that "13 Reasons Why" is the most popular series on Netflix overall. Alabama was the only state that showed "Riverdale" as its favorite.

The team at HighSpeedInternet.com compiled a list of popular shows on Netflix in 2018 and used Google Trends to find and rank the most searched Netflix shows in every state.
