Woman Arrested After Posting Video Showing Her Strike Her Husband

A Center Point woman has been taken into custody after posting a video to social media showing her strike her husband.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A social media post has landed a woman in jail. Tenisha Bonner of Center Point was taken into custody by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office after posting a video to social media showing her strike her husband Wednesday, and was formally charged Thursday with domestic abuse.

Just before 10:00 am Wednesday morning, deputies were called to a drug store on Center Point Parkway to investigate a report of domestic violence. The caller met with deputies and told them that a family member had posted a video to social media that showed her striking her husband. The caller went on to say he thought she might be armed and asked that deputies follow him to the home to check on them.

Deputies arrived at a home at a home on Arrowhead Circle and attempted to make contact with the people inside. No one would come to the door. Deputies learned that the couple had left the home prior to their arrival. The couple was located at a relative's home a few miles away. The man had cuts on his face. Bonner was not armed and was taken into custody.
