Woman Charged With Perjury In Ex-Husband's Murder Trial
A Birmingham woman has been charged with perjury after authorities say she lied on behalf of her ex-husband, who was on trial for murder.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A Birmingham woman whose ex-husband was acquitted of murdering her boyfriend has been charged with perjury. Sulena Beasley, 33, is accused of lying during the murder trial of Verneil Wilson, according to an Alabama Media Group report.
Beasley was booked into the Jefferson County Jail around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Wilson was charged with murder after a 2017 altercation in Beasley's home with Beasley's boyfriend, Adrian Lockett. Police said Wilson shot Lockett five times in the back during the altercation. Wilson turned himself in to police after the incident.
