Woman Charged In Weekend Murder Of Tarrant Man
A woman has been charged with the murder of a 39-year-old Tarrant man after a shooting Friday night.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A fatal shooting Friday night has resulted in an arrest and murder charge against a female suspect. Birmingham police on Sunday announced a murder warrant had been obtained against 27-year-old Imani Means. She is charged in the death of 39-year-old Rodregous Gurley of Tarrant.
A report by Alabama Media Group said East Precinct officers responded to the 200 block of 51st North on a report of shots fired in the area just before 10 p.m. Friday. Once on the scene, they found a person who reported being the victim of a robbery.

During the same time, officers from the South Precinct responded to Children’s Hospital to investigate a reported shooting victim that had arrived by private vehicle. Officers soon learned that the victim was shot at the location of the East Precinct officers’ shooting investigation.
Personnel from Children’s Hospital provided initial treatment to Gurley before transferring the victim to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officers from both precincts reportedly coordinated their investigations and determined that the incidents were related, and that Means was the suspect in Gurley’s death.
