Woman Dies In Car Wreck In Birmingham

A woman died after a three-vehicle wreck occurred on First Avenue North in Birmingham Tuesday morning.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A three-vehicle wreck in First Avenue North during rush hour Tuesday morning resulted in one fatality.

According to a report by Alabama Media Group, the wreck happened about 8 a.m. in the 8300 block of First Avenue North. Officers from the city's East Precinct and Birmingham Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene on a report of a three-vehicle accident.

The victim, a black female, was one of the driver's involved in the wreck. She was taken to UAB Hospital and pronounced dead after life-saving measures were unsuccessful. Lt. Pete Williston said no one else was injured in the wreck.
