Woman Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle On Bessemer Road
A woman was killed Wednesday while walking on Bessemer Road.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - A woman was killed Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Bessemer Road.
A report by Alabama Media Group said the woman, who has not been identified, was struck at approximately 9:15 p.m. Wednesday. The incident occurred on Bessemer Road near Court R in Birmingham. It wasn't immediately clear whether she was cross the roadway, but she was struck in the travel lanes, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

The driver of the vehicle that struck her stopped and called 911. The investigation is ongoing but no charges are expected.
