Woman Shot In Ensley Dies At UAB Hospital
A shooting in Ensley early Monday morning claimed the life of a female victim.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A woman who was shot in Ensley early Monday morning was pronounced dead at UAB Hospital at approximately 5:45 a.m. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Tiyesha Carson. She was 37 and lived in Birmingham.
Birmingham police and firefighters responded Monday at 4:20 a.m. to the 1300 block of Avenue V, according to an Alabama Media Group report. Once on the scene, they found an adult black female suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to UAB Hospital’s Trauma Center, where she was pronounced dead.
