Woman Shot And Killed In North Birmingham
A 22-year-old woman was shot and killed Friday in north Birmingham, and police are still searching for a suspect.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police are investigating a shooting in north Birmingham Friday, which resulted in the death of 22-year-old Jah’Shavia Taylor. The incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. at an apartment complex at 1223 12th Street North.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said officers discovered Taylor unresponsive in a breezeway in front of her apartment door, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
