BIRMINGHAM, AL - This weekend, tech savvy women will convene in downtown Birmingham to show off their technology skills as Women Who Code Birmingham presents "Magic City Hacks," a two-day hackathon designed to showcase women as they take on tech. The event caps off the Birmingham Business Alliance's Innovation Week.
Saturday and Sunday, more than 50 engineers, designers, mentors, and more will come together at the Forge at the Pizitz Food Hall to create tech solutions. Harness the power of technology to build something artistic, solve a problem, design, develop whatever inspires you to change the world.
"Birmingham is a growing hotbed for technology and startups," said spokesperson Jubin Honarvar. "The hackathon will be held at Forge at the Pizitz, an example of the future of innovation in the Magic City." This event will offer awards and prizes, a career expo, and the opportunity for tech professionals to connect with other engineers for a weekend of coding.
