Overturned Vehicle On 280 Contained Emory University Athletes

BIRMINGHAM, AL - An accident involving an overturned vehicle on Highway 280 westbound at I-459 near the Summit shopping center had traffic backed up for several miles Friday morning. According to reports from WBRC, the vehicle, a white passenger van, was carrying members of the Emory University track and field team.

The accident has been cleared now and traffic is moving on 280. There has been no report as to the severity of the injuries to any of the passengers.
