Young Girl Drowns In East Birmingham Pool
A 4-year-old girl drowned in a pool in east Birmingham over Labor Day weekend.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 4-year-old girl drowned in an east Birmingham pool over Labor Day weekend. The incident occurred Saturday in the 1000 block of Alicia Drive around 5:45 p.m.
Although police had few details about the incident, they said the girl was transported by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service to St. Vincent’s East and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The incident is being investigated as an accident.
