Your Week 2 High School Scoreboard From Patch

Week Two is here for high school football in Alabama, featuring some key match-ups for the Birmingham metro area.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - One week of high school football is in the books, and this week, all of the area's teams will be in action, with some games having already been played.

In Thursday action, Carver beat Fairfield 18-12, Jackson-Olin beat Shades Valley, Clay-Chalkville won a big game over 7A top 10 school James Clemens and Mountain Brook ran over Center Point 43-0.

This week will see an old rivalry stay alive as Homewood goes to Vestavia Hills to face the Rebels (the two teams have played each other every year since 1972); and some key regional match-ups between Spain Park and Bessemer City, Hoover and Washington, DC's St. John's, Hewitt-Trussville and West Forsyth, Ga., Pinson Valley and Ramsay and Pelham against Bibb County.
