• ADEM approved a permit for a massive hyperscale data center in Brookwood (wbrc.com) — A Texas-based company has secured a key ADEM stormwater permit for a proposed 2‑million‑square‑foot hyperscale data center on Brookwood Industrial Parkway near Brookwood Middle School, though the project isn’t finalized. Construction could run through 2028, affecting Hurricane Creek and nearby land, and Brookwood’s City Council and Planning Commission have not yet voted on any data center plans.
