• OBITUARY: Frank Wallace Batson (davidsoncountysource.com) — Florence readers will recognize Frank Wallace Batson’s long connection to Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ, where she worshiped for the past 19 years. The 96-year-old Boaz native is remembered for her devotion to family, faith, and hospitality, with services planned Friday, May 15, in Nashville and memorial gifts suggested for her church food pantry or Zambia Mission Fund.
