2 Arrested In Attempted Burglary Of Hoover Gun Store

Two men have been arrested after a burglary attempt at Hoover Tactical Firearms Monday morning.

HOOVER, AL — Two men are in custody after a burglary attempt at Hoover Tactical Firearms Monday. The incident occurred just after 3:30 a.m. Monday at the gun store at 1561 Montgomery Highway.

A report by the Hoover Police Department said when officers arrived on the scene, the suspects fled on foot. One male was captured on Montgomery Highway, near Braddock Drive and the other suspect was found laying in the brush behind the store, police said.

Both were taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Hoover City Jail.

Antonio Deion Wilkins, 18, and Jalyn Lanier Bell, 19, are each charged with possession of burglar's tools and attempted burglary. Each have a bond set at $5,500.
