2 Arrested In November Bank Robbery
Hoover police have charged two people in the robbery of a BBVA bank branch that occurred November 25.

HOOVER, AL — Hoover police have two people in custody that have been charged in connection to a bank robbery that occurred Nov. 25. Rose Maria Tucker of Birmingham and John Lance Cameron, of Dutton have each been charged with robbery.
Hoover Police responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred at BBVA bank at 1560 Montgomery Highway. Witnesses reported that a white male wearing a black ball cap, sunglasses, and a mask entered the bank and demanded money from the teller. He then lifted his shirt and displayed a handgun tucked in his waistband. After obtaining the cash, the male left the bank in an unknown direction of travel.
Detectives learned that the same suspect attempted to rob a bank in Trussville earlier that day and began working with investigators in that case. The suspect’s vehicle was located by Birmingham police Dec. 4 and Hoover detectives identified Tucker as the getaway driver and arrested her later that day.

Tuesday, Hoover detectives learned Cameron robbed a bank in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. that afternoon. Birmingham Police took him into custody in the 5900 block of 1st Avenue North that evening.
In addition to the robbery charges, Cameron is charged with obstructing justice using a false ID. Additional charges are possible against Cameron in Trussville and Ft. Oglethorpe.
