3 Teens Arrested In Sunday Night Hoover Robbery

Three teenagers were arrested by Hoover police after a robbery Sunday at the Crossroads at Greystone shopping center.

HOOVER, AL — Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery Sunday night at the Crossroads at Greystone shopping center. The victims reported they were at that location with the intent to sell vape cartridges to a social media acquaintance, accordign to police.

Hoover police said that while the victims were sitting in their vehicle, two males approached them, one of which was armed with a handgun. After assaulting one of the victims, one suspect stole his car while the other fled in another vehicle. Responding officers recovered the victim’s vehicle in a nearby parking lot. The injured victim was transported to Brookwood Freestanding ER by ambulance.

While detectives were interviewing the second victim, patrol officers located the suspect vehicle on John Hawkins Parkway near Merchants Drive and conducted a traffic stop. Three suspects were arrested and brought to the Hoover City Jail.

Jacob Alan Evans, 19, of Birmingham; Darius Caronell Morrow, 18, of Helena; and Xavier Bellamy, 16, of Hoover were each charged with robbery, theft of property and assault, with bonds at $45,000 each.
