Acton Bowen To Face More Sex Abuse Charges
Youth minister Acton Bowen is expected to face more sexual abuse charges, after initially being arrested in Hoover for sex abuse in April.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL - Jefferson County prosecutors say youth minister Acton Bowen is expected to face additional sex abuse charges, adding to charges piled up against him since his arrest in April by Hoover police.
Prosecutors said that more potential victims had been discovered in Orange Beach and across state lines in Florida and Colorado. The FBI has become involved into the investigation prosecutors revealed. Bowen, founder of Acton Bowen Outreach Ministries, was taken into custody in Pelham April 10 and then transported to Hoover jail and charged with sodomy, enticing a child to enter a vehicle or house for immoral purposes, and second-degree sex abuse.
Hoover PD issued a statement at the time saying the victim was a male between the age of 12 and 16, and was a family acquaintance.
