Alabama Fugitive Captured After 5 Days On The Run
A convicted murderer who escaped from a Childersberg work site was captured by U.S. Marshals.

CHILDERSBURG, AL — A convicted murderer who escaped earlier this week from the Childersburg Work Release Center Saturday was captured in Morgan County Thursday. An Alabama Media Group report said 43-year-old Daniel Miner was captured by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Miner surrendered after a three-hour standoff at a Morgan County home, according to al.com. He was reported missing Saturday night after he missed a roster count at the Childersburg Work Release Center. He was sentenced in 1994 to life in prison for murder.
