Registered sex offender arrested after using fake name to rent courts at Pelham rec center (wbrc.com) — Pelham police arrested a registered sex offender who allegedly used a fake name to rent basketball courts for kids' training sessions at the city rec center. Officials emphasize he had no employment or affiliation with city programs, and note Hoover police previously charged him in 2018 after a similar situation near Hoover, with the current case now handled by the Shelby County DA.
