Brookside Officer Arrested In Hoover For Public Intoxication

A Brookside police lieutenant was arrested at Dave and Buster's in Hoover Tuesday night.

HOOVER, AL — A Brookside police officer was arrested Tuesday night at Dave and Buster's restaurant in Hoover after complaints of disorderly conduct. Lt. James Sebestain “Bo” Savelle III, 32, was charged by Hoover police with public intoxication.

Witnesses at the restaurant said Savelle was harassing customers at the restaurant and Hoover police arrived at approximately 10:30 p.m. to find Savelle to be "intoxicated to the point of being a danger to himself or others," according to an Alabama Media Group report.

Savelle was booked into the Hoover City Jail and released at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday on $500 bond. Additional charges for harassment are expected to be filed.

Brookside Police Chief Mike Jones told Al.com that Savelle has been suspended from duty pending the outcome of an investigation.

"We expect our officers to maintain professional conduct at all times, including when they are off duty," Jones said. "If he is found guilty of these accusations, he will be held accountable for actions."
