HOOVER, AL - A 65 year old Connecticut man has been arrested by New Haven Police and charged with sexual abuse of a Hoover girl. Hoover police say William Henry Douglas was staying at a Hoover family's home months ago, and left after the family discovered evidence he had sexually abused a young girl in the household.
The department launched an investigation on Aug. 11 after the victim’s parents reported the abuse. The victim disclosed to her parents and police that a family member had touched her inappropriately and subjected her to sexual acts on several occasions while he stayed at their residence in Hoover, according to a press release from the Hoover Police Department.
Douglas remains in custody in Connecticut as he awaits extradition to Alabama.
