Convenience Store Holdup Suspect Arrested By Hoover Police
A convenience store robbery in Hoover early Tuesday morning resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old man.

HOOVER, AL — Hoover police have arrested a man they say robbed a local convenience store early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. at the Galleria Woods Chevron at 2963 John Hawkins Parkway.
Police say 32-year-old Cornelius Demond Hall, of Montgomery entered the store wearing a mask pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money. After being unable to open the cash register, he stole several packs of cigarettes and left the store on foot, according to the police report.
Hoover police said after receiving a 911 call from the store clerk, they saw the suspect running across John Hawkins Parkway and were able to capture him after a brief foot pursuit. He was transported to the Hoover City Jail where he was charged with first-degree robbery and is being held on $10,000 bond.
