Credit Card Fraud Suspect Sought By Hoover PD

A suspect in a case of breaking and entering a vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card is being sought by the Hoover Police Department.

HOOVER, AL - The Hoover Police Department is trying to identify a suspect in a case of breaking and entering a vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card. The card was stolen from a home in Ross bridge, and used at a car wash in Bessemer.

The vehicle break-in occurred June 9 on Samuel Pass in the Ross Bridge, according to a report by the Hoover Police Department. The credit card stolen from the vehicle was then used at Stadium Food Mart and Zoom Carwash in Bessemer.

The Hoover PD released security footage of the suspect and his vehicle, a red Honda Accord. The police department asks that anyone who may recognize this individual, or know anything about him or this case, please contact Hoover Detective Clifton Washington at (205) 739-7242.

Hoover PD wants to remind resident to:

  • Park vehicles inside if possible
  • If you park vehicles outside, then remove valuables (including firearms)
  • Lock the doors and set the alarm
  • Consider video surveillance products
  • Use the dusk-to-dawn or motion setting on exterior flood lights
  • Keep makes/models/serial numbers written down and stored in safe place
  • Call police if you see anything suspicious: 911 or (205) 822-5300
