Fatal Motorcycle Crash Investigated By Hoover Police

HOOVER, AL - The Hoover Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred September 5. Police say the incident occurred in the 500 block of Shades Crest Road at 9:29 p.m. The victim was identified as Christopher S. Grissett, a 47-year-old male from Hoover.

A release by the Hoover PD said the rider was pronounced deceased on the scene by paramedics. The preliminary investigation shows that the motorcycle, a 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300, was traveling South on Shades Crest Road when it left the roadway, throwing the rider off of the bike. Hoover PD traffic officers are investigating this crash to determine its cause.
