Felony Shoplifting Suspect Sought By Hoover Police

Police are seeking a suspect in a shoplifting case at Belk in the Riverchase Galleria.

HOOVER, AL — Hoover police are investigating a shoplifting case from Jan. 3 at Belk in the Riverchase Galleria. The theft of property charge is a felony, and police are currently seeking a suspect caught on security cameras.

Police said the suspect selected more than $500 worth of merchandise from inside the store, passed all final points of sale, and fled the area. The suspect vehicle is a white Mercedes sedan.

Witnesses reported that while the vehicle plate was an Alabama Barber Motorsports tag, the exact numbers and letters are unknown.
