Former Hoover High School Students Indicted For Murder

A couple who were students at Hoover Hogh School in February when they were charged with murder have now been indicted.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Indictments have been issued for two former Hoover High School students who were charged with the February 11 murder of 17-year-old Brandon Burpo of Clay.

Jada Williams and Traquarus Brannon of Hoover were indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury Friday, with Williams being indicted for murder and Brannon indicted for capital murder.

The indictments follow the February incident in which Williams and Brannon lured Burpo out of his home by calling him, and then shot Burpo as he approached their vehicle. An investigation of Burpo's mobile phone led to the capture of Williams and Brannon, who said Burpo had robbed them prior to the shooting.
