Fraudulent Websites Reported By Hoover Police

The Hoover Police Department reports that four websites have popped up claiming to be based out of Hoover.

HOOVER, AL — A new online fraud alert has been issued by Hoover police, as the department has discovered four new websites erroneously claiming to be based in Hoover. Victims from different states have reported that orders were placed, payment was made, but items were never received through these websites, police said.

On the “Contact Us” page on all of these sites, they falsely indicate they are located in Hoover, a report from Hoover police said.

2. www.allfoldingchairstables.com
3. www.churchchairsdepot.com
4. www.12modern.com

"We have confirmed with the City of Hoover Revenue Department that none of these 'companies' hold a business license with the city," a statement from Hoover police said. "Furthermore, we have confirmed there are no 'brick and mortar establishments' located in the city that are operating under these names."

At this time, no known victims are in the Hoover area. However, Hoover residents who have fallen victim to this scam are asked to notify HPD Dispatch at 205-822-5300.
