Galleria Shoplifter Arrested After Stealing $3,400 In Merchandise

A woman who allegedly stole $3,400 worth of clothing items from stores at the Galleria has been arrested by Hoover Police.

HOOVER, AL - A woman who allegedly stole more than $3,000 worth of clothing items from a store in the Riverchase Galleria has been arrested by Hoover Police. Hoover Police were called to Belk at the Riverchase Galleria on a shoplifting call Friday. Belk loss prevention agents took a female into custody after they saw her concealing 85 articles of clothing in various shopping bags and attempting to leave the store. When officers arrived on scene, they also found a small bag that contained suspected methamphetamine in her possession, as well as several drivers’ licenses and credit cards that did not belong to the suspect.

Jessica Joyce Rainer , 25, of Oakman, Alabama, was placed under arrest and charged with theft og property and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Rainer was transported to the Hoover City Jail and was later transferred to the Jefferson County Jail. Additional charges are pending in this case.
