Home Depot Theft Suspects Sought By Hoover Police

Hoover police are trying to identify a man they say was involved in a theft of property case at the Home Depot in Inverness.

HOOVER, AL — Hoover police look to identify suspects they say was involved in a theft case at the Home Depot on Highway 280 in Inverness. The incident occurred Sunday.

A report from the Hoover Police Department said a man seen on security footage in the store cut the security lock on a Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1 Zero Turn lawn mower (value $3,099) and loaded it onto a trailer. The man got into a vehicle driven by another suspect and left the scene toward Highway 280 without attempting to pay, according to police.

Police say the vehicle was a white Chevrolet Silverado, pulling a "well-used, rusty, old" light-medium-duty equipment trailer.
