Hoover Council Denies Annexation For Greystone Subdivision

Citing concerns from neighbors, the Hoover City Council did not approve an annexation for a new Greystone subdivision.

HOOVER, AL — The Hoover City Council this week denied an annexation proposal for a development in the Greystone area, citing concerns from neighbors. The Birmingham Business Journal reported that 59 acres next to Greystone needed to be annexed into Hoover and pass a zoning plan in order to move forward.

Greystone residents expressed concern over the number of housing units and the type of housing proposed, which led to the failure of the proposal.
