Hoover Gas Station Robbery Suspect Arrested
The Hoover robbery suspect reportedly pulled the trigger on his gun twice, but the gun failed to fire.

HOOVER, AL - A suspect in the robbery of a Citgo gas station in Hoover has been arrested, according to reports by the Hoover Police Department. The suspect, Timothy Dimitri M. Perry of Hoover, allegedly pulled the trigger on his gun twice during the robbery, but the gun did not fire.
The incident occurred at 1:49 p.m. Friday at the Citgo gas station on Lorna Road. A report by the HPD said the suspect entered the store and initially went into the restroom. He then came out with a handgun and walked behind the counter. Perry forced the store clerk to open the register and give him an undetermined amount of money.
While pointing the gun at the clerk, Perry allegedly pulled the trigger but the weapon did not fire.The report said he again pulled the trigger when a customer entered the store, but no shots were fired. The suspect left the store in an older model black Ford Mustang.

Perry was taken into custody at 1:28 A.M. after he was located hiding in the woods behind the apartment building. Detectives on Saturday obtained warrants charging Perry with attempted murder, first-degree robbery, attempting to elude and resisting arrest.
