- Hoover High School had 39 student-athletes sign national letters of intent during National Signing Day. The student-athletes participate in various sports, including basketball, football, softball, and volleyball. - Hoover's Ross Bridge Farmers Market will open for its Mardi Gras Market on Saturday, Feb. 18. - The Jefferson County Coroner and the Medical Examiner's Office are asking county residents to assist in locating the family of a deceased inmate. Michael Thomas Medders, 61 years old, was found unresponsive in his cell at William Donaldson Correctional Facility on Sunday. All attempts to locate Medders' family have failed so far. (ABC3340)
