Hoover Man Arrested For Center Point Burglaries

A 26-year-old Hoover man was arrested late Saturday night for two business burglaries along Center Point Parkway.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 26-year-old Hoover man was arrested late Saturday night for two business burglaries along Center Point Parkway.

Just after 11 p.m. Saturday night, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at an automotive repair business in the 1600 block of Center Point Parkway. The owner of the business reported that video surveillance cameras had captured a suspect breaking into the business by smashing the front glass with a rock.

He entered the business and stole change from a cash box. The suspect had just left the business on foot. He was wearing a black hoodie and pajama pants. A description of the suspect was broadcast to other deputies who began searching the area. A second call reported that a man matching the suspect description was breaking into a nail salon on the same block of Center Point Parkway.

Deputies arrived just as Fadarrius Leon Haywood was emerging from the nail salon carrying a variety of boxes of snack chips. Haywood was also positively identified as the suspect from the repair shop. He was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, and Theft of Property. He remains in jail with bond set at $21,200.00.
