Hoover Man Dead After Stabbing In Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 57-year-old Hoover man was killed Saturday night in a stabbing at a home in Birmingham's Ensley neighborhood. The victim has been identified as Ricky Ray Carlisle.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said Carlisle was found dead in a home at 3024 17th Street in Ensley just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Mauldin said the preliminary investigation suggests the incident is domestic in nature, and that Carlisle was involved in a verbal altercation prior to the stabbing. Police have one suspect in

custody.
