Hoover Man Dies After Being Struck By Boulder
A 49-year-old Hoover man died after he was struck by boulder while in a construction site in Irondale.
IRONDALE, AL - a 49-year-old Hoover man died while worming at a construction site in Irondale Monday. Michael Tumlin was working on the site at Grantswood Elementary School when he was struck by a boulder dropped from a tractor.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m., according to a report by Alabama Media Group. Tumlin's body was discovered after the removal of boulders near a dumpster. Tumlin's co-workers reportedly did not know he had been struck until after the boulders had been moved and his dead body was discovered.

Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said it appeared Tumlin was standing near the dumpster when the boulder fell on him.
