Hoover PD Motor Scouts Dominate Hendersonville Competition
The Hoover Police Department came away with some hardware after a competition in Tennessee.

HOOVER, AL — The Hoover Police Department has a few more trophies to add to its shelf after the Hendersonville Police Motorcycle Training & Skills Competition in Tennessee last week. The competition, which started July 23, included participants from departments throughout the southeast.
Hoover PD Motor Scouts Sgt. Brian Nelson, Officer TJ Denson, and Officer Adam Dozier won awards during the week-long competition.
There were three classes of riders; Elite, Expert, and Novice. Nelson took 1st place in the Elite
division, Dozier took 1st place in Expert, and Denson took 1st place in Novice.

Denson won the overall "Last Man Standing" competition, an event where Scouts compete in a riding course against everyone in the competition. Denson was the last Motor Scout not to make a mistake.
The HPD Motor Scouts also won 1st place for the team competition. In the overall ranking of the
entire competition, Nelson was No. 1, Dozier was No. 6 and Denson was No. 10.

Nelson received the Mr. Rodeo award for the highest overall score.
