Hoover Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Accident
The victim was transported to UAB Hospital by a Hoover Fire Department rescue unit, but was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

HOOVER, AL - A pedestrian accident in Hoover Monday night resulted in the death of a female victim. The Hoover Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
A report by the Hoover PD said at 7:13 p.m. Monday night Hoover police units responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 1500 block of Montgomery Highway. The driver of a 2005 Saturn VUE was traveling southbound when the unknown female pedestrian tried to cross over to the westbound side of the highway.
Hoover PD said the victim was transported to UAB Hospital by a Hoover Fire Department rescue unit, but was pronounced deceased upon arrival. The identity of the white female victim will be released after positive identification and when next of kin notifications are made. She appears to be in her 50’s. The driver of the Saturn remained on the scene and was cooperative with investigating officers. No criminal charges are expected at this time. Hoover Police Traffic investigators continue their work to reconstruct the accident scene.
