Hoover Police To Participate In Cops On Top Event
The Hoover Police Department will participate in the Cops on Top program May 4 and 5 benefiting the Special Olympics of Alabama.

HOOVER, AL - The Hoover Police Department will participate in the Cops on Top program benefiting the Special Olympics of Alabama this weekend.
"We will be “taking over” Walmart (on 2780 John Hawkins Pkwy) on Friday May 4 (8 a.m. - 7 p.m.) and Saturday May 5 (8 a.m. -7 p.m.) to raise money for the Alabama Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics," said the Hoover PD in a release.
Hoover PD Officers will be stationed outside of Walmart to heighten the awareness and collect donations. Last year the Hoover PD was able to collect more than $7,000. This year's goal is $15,000, according to the release.
