TROY, AL — Troy University recently kicked off up its run of the ancient Greek tragedy "Medea," written by Euripides. Among the 40 students involved in the production of the performance is Hoover resident Emma Thomason.

Thomason is sound technician and the soundboard operator for the performance. The fall show began its run Oct. 21 and lasts through Oct. 27 at the Trojan Center Theater.

"Medea" tells the story of Jason, a Greek hero and leader of the Argonauts, and Medea, daughter of King Aeetes of Colchis, granddaughter of the sun god Helios and a powerful sorceress.
