Hoover Residents Make Marching Band At Jacksonville State

Four Hoover residents are among those listed on the 2021 roster for the Marching Southerners, Jacksonville State's marching band.

JACKSONVILLE, AL — When the Jacksonville State University kicks off its football season in February, the school's award-winning marching band, the Marching Southerners, will include four Hoover residents.

Due to the pandemic, the Ohio Valley Conference moved football season to the spring. JSU was allowed, however, to play four non-conference games in the fall. The Southerners performed at the university's sole home football game on Oct. 10.
