Hoover School Bus Driver Gets DUI After Wreck
A Hoover bus driver wrecked Wednesday afternoon and was arrested for driving the bus under the influence of alcohol.

HOOVER, AL - A Hoover school bus driver has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after he drove off the road on Interstate 459 Wednesday afternoon at approximately 5 p.m. There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash. According to reports from the Alabama State Troopers Office, the driver, Mark Pierce, had finished his route and was returning the bus to its overnight location.
The crash occurred on the Acton Road northbound exit ramp of Interstate 459. Pierce's Blood Alcohol Content was .15, which is almost double the legal limit for a driver in Alabama, and nearly quadruple the legal limit for a bus driver, according to reports. He was arrested and taken to Jefferson County Jail.
