Hoover Teen Charged In Stabbing

A Hoover teenager was charged with assault after police say he stabbed two other boys during a drug transaction in Inverness.

HOOVER, AL - A 16-year-old male from Hoover has been charged with assault after police say he stabbed two other boys during a drug transaction in Inverness last weekend. The victims admitted they were participating in a drug transaction when Preston Barker Moore attacked them with a knife.

Hoover Police Lt. Keith Czeskleba said the incident occurred on Inverness Cove Way February 3. According to Czeskleba, one of the victims had a severe laceration to his hand, and the other received a cut on his elbow and a stab wound to his thigh.

The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office charged Moore as an adult with two counts of first-degree felony assault.
