Hoover Walmart One Of 5 Alabama Stores To be Remodeled
The Walmart store on Highway 280 is one of five Alabama Stores that will undergo a remodel.
HOOVER, AL - The Walmart store at 5335 Highway 280 is one of five Walmart locations in Alabama that will undergo a remodel, part of a $17 million project for Alabama stores over the next year. The company is spending $11 billion nationwide on remodeling projects.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, the retailer is also adding another 30 stores to its online grocery pickup service.
Walmart is also looking at offering Mobile Express Scan & Go in more markets, according to a press release by the retailer, which allows customers to scan items with their mobile devices while shopping in store, paying instantly and skipping the checkout line. Customers can download the Walmart Scan & Go app from iTunes or the Google Play store. Mobile Express Scan & Go is currently offered at all Alabama Sam's Clubs and the Walmart in Muscle Shoals.
