Jags Lose Championship Series To Fairhope
The Spain Park softball team lost its championship series to Fairhope Thursday, finishing as the state runner-up.
MONTGOMERY, AL - The Spain Park High School softball team came up short in the state championship series against Fairhope Thursday, dropping two games to finish as the runners-up.
The Jags won the first three games of the Class 7A state tournament, beating Hewitt-Trussville, Prattville and Smiths Station to reach the championship.
The championship series included two close games against Fairhope, with the Jags losing 7-5 in the first game and 8-6 in the second.

The Jags placed four players on the All-Tournament team: Bailey Bowers, Alexis Anderson, Annabelle Widra and Maddie Majors.
