Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Traffic Fatality

On Tuesday October 1, 2019 at 8:04pm Jefferson County deputies were dispatched to investigate a traffic accident in the 5600 block of 5th Street North Lipscomb Al. Deputies found a one car accident where the driver was deceased. Deputies and other first responders worker to clear the scene. The preliminary investigations shows that the driver may have lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway eventually striking a tree and catching on fire. The Coroner’s Office will make a positive identification of the driver. Sheriff’s deputies are continuing this investigation at this time.
