Jefferson County Veterinarian Charged With Sex Abuse
Veterinarian and Hoover resident Dr. Tom Fuqua has been arrested on charges of sex abuse of an employee.
GARDENDALE, AL - A veterinarian in Gardendale has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse of an employee. Hoover resident Dr. Thomas Hughes Fuqua, 67, is charged with first-degree sex abuse, according to court records made public Wednesday.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, the incident happened in March. Gardendale police confirmed that the victim was an employee of Fuqua and said the allegations against him include inappropriate touching and groping.
Fuqua was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Dec. 28 and released the same day after posting $15,000 bond.

He is set to make his first court appearance later this month.
