Man Caught On Video Stealing From Smoke Shop In Hoover

HOOVER, AL - A man seen on video stealing merchandise from a store in Hoover is being sought by Hoover PD. The incident occurred May 31 at Gallery Smoke on Lorna Road.

Police say the suspect told an employee that he was interested in buying a large quantity of Myrtle Creek Hemp Flower CBD product. After the employee placed the box of CBD product on the counter and turned away, the suspect grabbed the box and ran out of the store. He got into an unknown dark colored sedan (unknown tag) and fled the scene.

Earlier that day, a few hours before the theft, the suspect came into the store and asked questions about the Myrtle Creek Hemp Flower product, and also asked when the store was going to close.
